Barista
Our Baristas are experts in curating hand-crafted coffee and serving our guests. If you’re someone who values the creation of excellent coffee and caring for guests, we’d love to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Greet and care for all guests
- Answer customer questions regarding ingredients using a deep and confident knowledge of our menu
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy, etc.)
- Craft hand-tamped Intelligentsia coffee drinks
- Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- Keep the bar area clean
- Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
Requirements

- Manual dexterity able to carry various objects, operate order terminal, operate kitchen/barista equipment

Steward/Dishwasher
Our introductory role for anyone with limited or no restaurant experience and limited availability. This role will support our Customer Service staff as a food runner, dining room cleaning, and dishwashing.
Responsibilities
- Cleans all areas of the restaurant as needed, including the kitchen and dining areas, and removes trash
- Clean and sanitize dishes. Follow established procedure of the dish machine including monitoring proper temperatures and chemicals. Practice proper wash, rinse, and sanitizing methods in the 3-compartment sinks
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures as needed
- Cleans and maintains hard surface floors in kitchen and dining areas as needed
- Reports equipment malfunctions, injuries, and accidents to the supervisor
- May help in putting away weekly deliveries of food and supplies to walk-in coolers and other locations
- May help with general maintenance of equipment, building, and storage spaces
- Assist in snow removal on sidewalks and trash areas
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A team player with good communication skills – both verbal and written
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Very good physical condition and endurance
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of relevant experience
- Able to work without direct supervision

Front of House
The front lines. Includes barista, cashier, expediter, food runner, and food prep. We are looking for hard workers and friendly people.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and care for customers from ordering at the counter to table service
- Follow all provided guidelines for various work stations: dining rooms, register, expediter, food line, and coffee bar
- Maintain a clean and orderly work station
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Perform other duties as assigned

Kitchen Team
We are looking for someone who is quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be required to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and work lists
- Using good knife skills to prep for recipes
- Prepare salad dressings
- Maintain a clean and orderly work station
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- A team player with good communication skills
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Very good physical condition and endurance, must be able to lift 25+ pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset
- Obtain/Bring Food Handlers Certification
