Once upon a time, there was a little Southern girl who loved food above all other worldly pleasures. She followed her mama to the supermarket and badgered her with questions about cooking. And as soon as she was old enough to stand on a chair and reach the counter, she could be found in the kitchen with a cloud of flour swirling around her. One of her earliest memories of food is picking blackberries from the hills surrounding her grandparents’ home in Northwest Arkansas. This is where she first learned to make blackberry pies and jam.
It wasn’t long before Anna was cooking for her family and friends, which began a tradition that she continues to this day – welcoming the community at her kitchen table with plates of food that are always as beautiful as they are yummy. Opening Blackberry Market is an extension of Anna’s welcoming kitchen, a place you can walk in and always feel you belong.
We are a space to gather and connect over fresh daily prepared foods and premium coffee.
We are a bakery that believes that if you’re going sweet, it most certainly should be made from scratch – with minimal, high quality ingredients.
We are a team that loves to help take the stress out of events. Let us take care of the food so you can focus on your guest list.
The table is the place where you connect and belong

Note: We sometimes close a little early in the evening for private events. We typically post this on our website on the day of the event.
We do offer free wi-fi; however, we do ask that the tables in our dining area remain “laptop free” during our prime time (11a-1p). If you want to work on a laptop, we invite you to sit at one of our many singular bar seats. We understand that Blackberry is a great environment to get work done, but we also encourage all our patrons to be present with those around you – friends and strangers alike. If technology is absolutely needed, please use it. If it’s not, utilize the space for meaningful conversations.
During the warm months, we provide outside seating. Our street side tables provide feel-the-breeze-accessible-outside-seating with a prime spot for “people watching.” In Glen Ellyn, we also have a wonderful back patio that we encourage you to try. We’re keen to think it’s one of the best patios in town!
